Get back on track

Here are some strategies to help you get back on the path to academic success.

  • Talk to your professor

Reach out as soon as possible. Open communication is the best way to set clear expectations and create a plan for completing your coursework.

  • Connect with your academic advisor

Your advisor can help you navigate program requirements and connect you with tutoring or departmental resources to keep you on track.

  • Review your enrollment options

Before you add, drop, or withdraw from a course:

    • Check the academic calendar and remember that timing can affect your financial aid.
    • Remember that timing of course/term withdrawal can affect your financial aid.
    • Connect with the Office of Financial Aid to get any questions answered.
Connect with the International Center before making any changes if you’re an international student.
  • Necessary next steps

If you decide to move forward with a term or course withdrawal, please reach out to your academic advisor in your school/college to determine the next steps.

If you are an on-campus resident and you withdraw from all of your classes, contact Housing for move-out procedures.
