Meriya serves as a Case Manager for Student Support and Critical Incident Response. Reporting to the Associate Dean of Students, she is responsible for providing direct support services to students experiencing complex incidents and crises impacting their campus life, and contributing to the functions of the Dean of Students Office through support of its administrative, student support, programmatic, and crisis management functions.
Prior to coming to the University of Michigan in 2025, Meriya was a residence director at both Michigan State University (23’–24′) and the University of Minnesota Duluth (22’–23′), where she supervised resident assistants, provided assistance during crisis moments, served on various departmental committees, and supported programs across the universities. Meriya graduated from Hope College in 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology with research experience in sport motivation, sport commitment, and personality.
